North America - North American Operator Implements Gamma NetOne as part of their drive for Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance

Major North American Operator has integrated Gamma NetOne with SAP Financials as an integral part of their corporate compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

Using hand-held data collection devices in the field and in the warehouses, all asset deployments are tracked throughout their life. Asset tracking on such a large scale was made possible by deploying the “dis-connected/off-line” capabilities of Gamma NetOne. A complete asset history and audit trail is maintained.

About Sarbanes-Oxley Act:

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) of 2002 states that a management is responsible for establishing and maintaining adequate internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting.  It also states that management must annually assess the effectiveness of the internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting as of year end. Changes in the control environment must be asserted by management quarterly.

An internal control is a process that is designed to provide reasonable assurance that a specified objective has been achieved.   It should identify the objectives and the risks that will be mitigated by the control.
